Shandong Micro Sensor Electronics Co., Ltd. was established in 2004 by Shandong Academy of Sciences and Intelli-gent Sensor Systems Ltd., a Sino-British joint venture high-tech enterprise. Since its establishment, the company has focused on the development of mine safety laser methane and other gas sensors, fiber distributed temperature, fiber grating vibration, displacement, pressure, microseismic, wind speed, humidity and other sensors. On this basis, it established coal mine gas safety monitoring, microshock/rock burst, roof surrounding rock deformation/stress, goaf ignition, key equipment condition monitoring and fault diagnosis and emergency communication fiber optic information system, formed more than 30 invention patents, more than 20 soft intellectual property rights, and undertook and participated in a number of national 863 program, science and technology support and key research and development programs. The ultra-low power laser methane sensor module has reached the international advanced level, and has been promoted and applied to more than 1000 coal mine safety monitoring and upgrading systems in the domestic "backbone" sensor and system manufacturers. Fiber optic tailings reservoir monitoring, goaf collapse, rock burst monitoring and early warning have also been successfully used in more than 300 non-coal mine mountains.
